The Duke of Edinburgh Award
CYCM have a desire to help young people develop socially and physically, and to experience a wide range of practical skills.
To help us achieve this objective, CYCM is an Operating Authority for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme within Northern Ireland.
Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme. We provide a balanced programme of activities that develops the whole person – mind, body and soul – in an environment of social interaction and teamworking. Young people progress through three levels of DofE programmes to achieve a Bronze, Silver or Gold Award. Taking part builds confidence and develops self-esteem. It requires persistence, commitment and has a lasting impact on the attitudes and outlook of all young people who do their DofE.

The award scheme operates in a number of CYCM Centres throughout Northern Ireland.
Please contact Mandy at the CYCM office for more information or to answer any questions you may have about the scheme or provide information on your nearest operating centre.

Dofe Bronze expedition Sept 2021
After a long wait through Covid the bronze group eventually got to complete their qualifying expedition, which was due to take place last May 2020.
Things were a little different but all were excited to be able to come together and finish what they had started last year.
