A Zoom evening with Newtownbreda Bpt Girl Junos, learning about the Autumn, the  trees changing colour and how God is in control of everything.
The girls were asked if they would like to write a short story or a poem about Autumn.
Below is a lovely poem written by Lucy Garrett p6 and Lily Garrett her little sister P3 who drew the picture.
Great work Girls... Well done!!!

Newtownards Elim Campaigners...                   connecting at christmas!!!

As we all know at the moment it's very difficult to keep connected with our Campaigner kids ... and I'm sure like us you really miss seeing them. Even though things are very different at the moment we really wanted to do something extra special at Christmas to let them know that we haven't forgotten them and that they are still very important to us.

We decided on doing a Christmas Drive-By… and of course, we had a few special visitors, you can't have a Christmas party without Santa!!
We are very blessed that Santa is a good friend to Newtownards Elim Church

The street outside the Church was lined with gazebos, twinkling lights, inflatable Santa's, Christmas tree, music playing and all things Christmassy
Everyone from our littlest Eagles to our biggest Craftsmen line up outside the Church at set times to enjoy the Christmas fun... all socially distanced.
A car at a time we asked the kids to walk along the Christmas path and at the end receive a gift from Santa and get a social distance picture taken.

We also had some homemade shortbread and candy canes with a little Christmas poem attached for all the parents so that we could share Jesus and the real meaning of Christmas with them. An amazing night had by all!

Everyone driving past seemed to love Santa waving at them and he really enjoyed sharing the Christmas cheer. We also had a taxi driver who stopped and asked if her son could get a picture with Santa as he hadn't been able to see Santa this year.

We used this as an opportunity to witness to her and her family and share some gifts with them. And most importantly share God's love. ❤
